Board of Directors

PETER REITER, RFE

R. Peter Reiter Jr. is a managing director of RFE Investment Partners, a private equity firm that is focused on investing in companies in the lower middle-market.

Mr. Reiter has more than 19 years of investment experience in the manufacturing, business service, and healthcare service industries. While at RFE, Mr. Reiter has sourced and led numerous platform acquisitions and is currently a director of Lectrus Corp., PCX Aerostructures, LLC, Squan Construction Services, LLC, Camino Modular Systems Inc., and iMedX Inc.

Prior to joining RFE, Mr. Reiter worked for KPMG Peat Marwick in its assurance practice.

Mr. Reiter is a graduate of Iona College, where he received a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting, and New York University, where he received a master of business administration degree.
 

Paul Schilpp, RFE

Paul Schilpp joined RFE Investment Partners as a Principal in 2012. He is currently a Director of Atrenne Integrated Solutions, Camino Modular Systems, JSI Store Fixtures, Lectrus, Squan, and Wind River Environmental.

Prior to joining RFE, Paul was a Principal for five years at Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity. He also worked for two years at Weston Presidio, a private equity firm; and at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., in their investment banking group.

Paul is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, degree in Economics and Business Administration; and, of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Master of Business Administration degree.
 

Edwin Burke, Pillsman

Edwin Burke is currently a Managing Partner as Pillsman Partners LLC. Edwin has worked with, evaluated and invested in businesses across a broad range of industries and sizes.

Prior to starting Pillsman Partners, LLC, Edwin was a Director and Head of European Chemicals for Nomura’s Natural Resources and Energy M&A group based in London, where he was responsible for advising specialty and commodity chemical companies on various debt, equity and M&A transactions. Edwin also spent four years working in Lehman Brothers’ European Natural Resource and Energy investment banking group where he advised chemical, oil services and mining clients on a variety of financings and acquisitions. In 2001, Edwin co-founded Tool Syndicate, a developer of lightweight, platform-agnostic applications for business-to-business communication, information sharing and real-time collaboration. Prior to Tool Syndicate, Edwin worked in business development for eCircles, an early social networking platform, where he was responsible for digital photography initiatives and working to further develop the Company’s close, strategic partnership with Adobe Systems. Earlier in his career, Edwin worked in private equity for Apax Partners where he sourced and evaluated deals in the Telecommunications and Enterprise Software sectors and in investment banking where he was a corporate finance analyst in Lehman Brothers’ Industrials M&A group.

Mr. Burke earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in Finance and Management. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Georgetown University.

Duane Albro, CEO

Duane Albro has extensive experience at the CEO level in the telecommunications industry including positions in both publicly-traded and privately held companies at the ninth largest cloud communications provider in the U.S.; a metro-NY cable operator; a northeast U.S.-based telecommunications service provider; a cellular phone refurbishing business; and at predecessor companies to Verizon. Prior to assuming the CEO position, he served on the Board of Directors of Squan and continues to hold a board seat.

Duane has extensive merger and acquisition experience with special expertise in the integration of acquired companies. He has been a key player in the merger and integration of mid-cap companies as well as mega-mergers of Fortune 50 companies. He also has a critical talent for improving management professionalism and efficiencies by building high performance

Duane holds an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology and a BSBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has completed Executive Management Programs at the University of Virginia – Darden School and the University of Pennsylvania – Wharton School and is a member of American Mensa Society.

John Celentano, President

SQUAN Co-Founder, John Celentano has over 18 years of leadership in both telecomm and construction. Mr. Celentano started in telecom at Skyfield Communications. Later with BCI he served in both the wireless and wireline business, ultimately leading the costing and project management functions for the greater NY/NJ markets.

What differentiated Mr. Celentano was not just his telecom experience, but his ability to develop and mentor others in business development and project delivery. Based on these capabilities and his natural entrepreneurial skills, he joined Kevin Frerich to co-found SQUAN in 2008.

The combination of John’s program, leadership, and analytical skill coupled with Kevin’s financial acumen and strong site acquisition background were a perfect match. This enabled them to hire and develop talent which has seen SQUAN grow from a small local player to a super-regional business. As a result the company is routinely asked to bid on and win work nationally.

Today Mr. Celentano serves as SQUAN’s president, leading all day to day operations. His market knowledge, technical background, and vision are all critical success factors for SQUAN.

Michael Foster

Michael Foster joined RFE Investment Partners in 1989. He is currently a Director of Atrenne Integrated Solutions, Brook & Whittle, Camino Modular Systems, iMedX and ShelterLogic, as well as a Director of Sabra Health Care REIT (SBRA).

Michael has been actively engaged in the private equity industry since 1978, initially as an attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton, and later as a partner of O’Sullivan Graev & Karabell, advising many private equity firms in scores of investment and acquisition transactions.

Michael is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Jurisprudence, magna cum laude, degrees.
